The only time you would have to worry is if your opponent has a bleed weapon of their own. I stuck this thing on my Aquamarine Dagger/Friede's Great Scythe build (40/50 Dex/Int, I like my spells) and the thing actually performs pretty damn well. In dark souls 1 and 3 the bkga is an absolute beast both in pve and pvp. It seems to function differently here though. Potentially the third highest AR at max level and capable of serious damage output. Slow, awkward moveset and a sweet spot make it difficult to use well.
